Before the World was Big

Before the World was Big

By:

Perseus Moudy

There was a time, from Nothing to Nine,

Between Asleep and Alive, when

The sun would rise up to meet us

And the birds sang because they wanted to

And the flowers danced because they could

Our reach was small, and we couldn’t go far

But the world was wide enough.
